The lands on which Viña Santa Berta is located, are located at the entrance to the well-known sector of the Itata Valley in the wine region of southern Chile, 8 kilometers south of Chillán, in the San Nicolás district.
The character of the Santa Berta wines, is based on different factors that start their dynamics with the form of cultivation, because the vineyards are distributed in 2 terraces with very own characteristics each one of them, generating a special terroir for each vine.
Another important factor in the cultivation of the grape is the thermal oscillation near the 23° C of the Millapel Farm, which allows the maturation of a wide variety of strains.
However, these peculiarities of cultivation are only the first link in a long chain of details carefully determined for each stage of the process.
Currently, Viña Santa Berta has plantations of Merlot, Pinot Noir, Malbec, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Gris, among others.
